PVIS Family Newsletter
π Hello, November! A Season of Gratitude! π¦
Dear PVIS Families,
As we say goodbye to October and welcome November, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for our amazing PVIS families! October was SCARY busy! π» Between school activities, special events, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and all the excitement of the season, we certainly had our share of tricks and treats! Through it all, our students continued to learn, grow, and make wonderful memories.
As we enter this season of gratitude, I want you to know how thankful we are for your continued support, involvement, and partnership. You are an essential part of what makes PVIS such a special place! Whether you're helping with homework, encouraging daily attendance, attending school events, or simply cheering your child on, your efforts make a meaningful difference.
From our PVIS family to yours, thank you for being part of our herd! π¦π We truly have so much to be thankful for!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Marano
PVIS Principal
Saying Good-bye to Spooooooky Season!

PVIS Ski Club Update!
Dear PVSD Families:
The Ski Club is now accepting applicants for the winter season for students in grades 4-12. For $260.00, you get five days of skiing, classes, rentals, and transportation. All student-athletes must be pre-approved by a counselor to participate (no F grades, 2.0+ GPA). Sign up with a counselor or Club sponsor today. Limited spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Physicals are required on RankOne, and school clinic services are available. Dates are January 8, 15, 22, 29, and February 5. Look for Ski Club posters around your building and at a counselor's office. The deadline to register once pre-qualified is around the corner, so get on the list today!
We are excited to announce that Ms. Annabelle Vigil will serve as the new PVIS Ski Club Sponsor!
Ms. Vigil will host an informational meeting during school on Monday for students interested in joining the Ski Club. She will provide an overview of the club, explain the academic, behavior, and attendance requirements for eligibility. She will collect the names of students interested in participating. Feel free to reach out to Ms. Vigil if you have any follow up questions about Ski Club!
PVIS Thanksgiving Luncheon β November 18th
Our PVIS Thanksgiving Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, November 18th. Tickets for this event are $5.50 per ticket. Each student may invite a maximum of two family members to attend.
We recognize that this limitation may be challenging for some families, so we ask that teachers help us communicate this information clearly and in advance so families can plan accordingly.
We are currently collaborating with our Cafeteria staff to develop a modified lunch schedule to accommodate the event. Additional details will be shared once the schedule is finalized.
A flyer with event information will be shared through ClassDojo and made available for printing and distribution.
Bandelier Field Trip Opportunity for Native American Students!
We are excited to share that a field trip to Bandelier National Monument is scheduled for Friday, November 6th! This special opportunity is open to all Native American students. Native American students do not need to participate in the Tewa program to attend. Families interested in having their child participate may pick up a permission slip from Ms. Amanda in the PVIS front office. We look forward to providing our students with this wonderful opportunity to connect with Native American history, culture, and heritage!
