Arrival & Dismissal
Early Dismissal
- For any early dismissals, caregivers are encouraged to pick up their student by 2:45 pm.
Dismissal
- Review your student’s plan for dismissal with them. If they will be picked up in carline, students must have a note every day. If your student is riding the bus, have your student practice saying and identifying their bus number. Drop off times in the afternoon may be delayed the first few weeks of school as we work to ensure everyone gets home safely.
Transportation
Bus Stop Times: Arrive 10–15 minutes early.
Caregiver Presence: A caregiver must be at the stop for Kindergarten students. Unattended Kindergarteners (and First Graders who feel uncomfortable) will be brought back to school for pickup. Expect minor delay during the first few weeks as routines settle.
Carline Rules
Times: Morning drop-off is 8:20–8:35 AM. Afternoon pick-up is 3:20–3:40 PM.
Signage & Notes: Display a sign in your car window with your student’s full name and grade. Pick-up requires a note sent in daily.
Dual-School Families: Drop off at AGIS first via Route 896, then head to PLES via Quimby Road.
Safety Rules: Pull all the way down the sidewalk. Keep students on the passenger side so they can exit on their own. Remain in your vehicle and stay in line—do not pass other cars. All traffic exiting PLES must turn right onto Route 796.

PBIS and Bucket Filling
PLES is a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school! PBIS teaches students the expected behaviors and encourages positive behaviors with Bucket Bucks rewards.
Part of our program is the message of being bucket fillers based on the book Have You Filled a Bucket Today? We encourage students and staff to be kind, to be a helper, and to fill each other’s buckets. PLES Bucket Fillers take care of ourselves, others and our school!
