Families,

We are having a huge increase in ipads being forgotten at home or coming to school without a full charge resulting in the ipad dying.

In a 21st century learning environment, we rely heavily on our ipad in the classroom. When your child doesn't have their ipad they risk not being able to participate to their full ability, not turn an assignment in on time, ect.

Please help your child establish a routine where they will not be constantly forgetting to charge or leave their ipad.

Some tips to help:

*Set alarms to help remind them to charge their ipad and get it off the charger to bring to school.

*Place their backpack by an outlet and charge their ipad inside their backpack each night.

*Remind them everyday for 2 weeks to build the habit on their own.

*If none of these are working, then bring the charger to school.

Reading: READING STAAR IS OVER and the kids did AMAZING! They all took their time, used their strategies, and worked super hard! That's all I could ask for! While we hope they scored well, we also know they are more than a score.

For the remainder of the nine-weeks, we will be doing some fun reading activities including a Pysanky Egg Unit, Biography Research, and reading the novel Tuck Everlasting! Once we finish the book, we will watch the 2002 Disney movie. Be watching for this permission form in the next few weeks.
