Collaborative Day/Hiking Field Trips Collaborative Day/Hiking Field Trips

On Thursday, October 22 we have an exciting day planned at SCES! The Unified Arts teachers have planned field trips for students, providing two hours of concentrated time for classroom teachers to collaborate on curriculum in teams. This is the first of three collaborative days this year.

On October 22 students will go on a short hike/walk on a local trail. This activity will give students an opportunity to spend time outdoors, observe nature, and participate in a safe, supervised physical activity. Students should come prepared for outdoor conditions. Please have your child bring sneakers, weather-appropriate clothing, and a water bottle. Students will remain with a supervised group and will be expected to follow all directions and trail safety rules. The hike/walk will be at a pace appropriate for the group, with breaks as needed. In the event that weather conditions prevent the field trip, students will participate in an alternate activity at SCES.

Please submit the online permission slip emailed this week - thank you!
