Bogota Middle School
Quiet Study Begins
We are excited to announce that Quiet Study will begin on Monday. Quiet Study is designed for students who wish to complete homework and projects before heading home. It provides a calm, focused environment free from common distractions such as television and phones, allowing students to concentrate fully on their work.
A supervising teacher will be present each day to provide guidance and support as needed. This is a great opportunity for students to build strong study habits and take ownership of their learning.
Schedule:
-
Monday through Thursday
-
2:45 PM – 3:45 PM
We strongly encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity. While attendance is voluntary, please note:
-
Some students may be recommended for consistent participation. If so, you may receive a phone call from Mrs. Quinones or Mrs. Gianino.
-
Students who choose to attend are expected to use this time for quiet, focused work.
-
Staying for the full session is recommended but not required.
-
If a student leaves before 3:45 PM, they will call from the main office to let a parent or guardian know.
We hope to see students there!
A Look Back

Nurse Reminders!
6th Grade Parents
The New Jersey Department of Health requires all students entering the sixth grade to have the following immunizations:
One dose of Tdap vaccine
One dose of Meningococcal vaccine
Please submit proof of immunization as soon as possible to avoid potential exclusion from school.
If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse.
Thank you for your cooperation.
General Reminders
- Students should eat breakfast before coming to school. If they wish, breakfast is available for purchase in the cafeteria beginning at 7:30 a.m.
-
Students should get a good night’s sleep. Even though they are older, setting a consistent bedtime and shutting down technology at a set time is very important for rest and readiness.
-
If there are any medical issues the school should be aware of, please contact the main office immediately.
Please make sure your child is feeling well when they come to school. The policy is that your child must be fever free without any medication for 24 hours before returning to school.
If Your child is going to be absent, PLEASE CALL THE SCHOOL AND LEAVE A MESSAGE with your child's name, homeroom, and reason for absence. Attendance is very important in middle school.
Please reach out to the school if you have any questions or concerns.
