Mr. John Soler

Assistant Principal

Building on Our Success, Building with Purpose!

Hello!

My name is Gané Bourgeois and I am excited to serve as McClure's Principal, alongside John Soler, our Assistant Principal. When choosing a theme for this school year, Mr. Soler and I really wanted to honor the hard work and success of our staff and students over the last year, and use that success to move McClure forward. If you've been to the school, you may have noticed the slight "nod" to Minecraft in our decoration choices. This was intentional. Minecraft is a great game that requires imagination, but also a purpose with which to create anything meaningful on the landscape. Our hope is to inspire students and staff to use their success from last year and grow, with intention, direction, and clear purpose.

Before school started, our staff met and created grade-level goals in reading and math. These are our blueprints for the year, giving us a direction and purpose. With your support, I know that our staff and students will be successful in reaching these goals. Below this article, you'll see that I am sharing these goals with you, for each grade level giving you an idea of what the year's focus will be in each of these subject areas. When these goals are reached, this year, our teachers will create another goal that will continue to elevate our students' learning throughout the year. I know that with your help, this will be possible.

Mr. Soler and I are very excited to see the success that will come from our working together, with the purpose of reaching our goals this year. If you have questions, or would like to speak with either of us, please email me at bourgeois.gane@ysd7.org, or Mr. Soler at soler.john@ysd7.org, or call our office at 509-573-1302 to set up a meeting.

We look forward to a wonderful year with our staff, students, and you!
