As we wrap up another wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Horace Mann families. This year has been filled with growth, learning, and so many memorable moments, none of which would have been possible without the support of our amazing school community.

To our students: you have worked hard, shown resilience, and made us proud every single day. Enjoy a well-deserved summer break!

While the HMES Digital Backpack will be taking a break from its weekly schedule, please know that I will be sending out periodic communications throughout the summer to keep you informed of any important updates and to help everyone stay prepared for the school year ahead.

Wishing all of our families a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer.

As you can see in the photo to the right, our lost and found is overflowing with dozens of unclaimed items! If your child/ren have been missing a jacket, water bottle, lunchbox, or anything else, now is the time to check.

Any items not claimed by the end of next week will be donated to a local charitable organization. Please take a moment to look through the lost and found — and remind your children to do the same!

Looking for great summer reading ideas for your kids? Mrs. Figueroa, our Literacy Teacher Coach, wanted to share a collection of recommended summer reading lists compiled by our township librarians. These resources include a variety of engaging titles across grade levels and interests to help students continue building their love of reading throughout the summer. The reading lists are available below, and we encourage families to explore the suggestions and enjoy reading together all summer long!
