Dewey Drone Club!
On Friday, March 13th, Dewey students participated in the first annual San Juan Unified School District Aerial Drone Competition!
Two Dewey teams competed against other K–8 and middle schools, navigating challenging obstacle courses while demonstrating their skills in coding and programming their drones.
In the preliminary rounds, Team D1 (Callie and Ronan) earned 1st place, Team D2 (Jackson, Ethan, and Julianna) secured 3rd place—advancing both teams to the finals!
In the final round, Team D1 tied for 1st place, and Team D2 finished strong in 4th place. We are so proud of our Tigers for their hard work, teamwork, and innovation!
Be sure to wish them luck as they move on to their next drone competition!

Looking ahead, summer is just around the corner. During the summer months, 100% of RaiseRight earnings go directly into your family account, making it a great time to build up funds for next school year’s expenses.
