École Maple ES Family Update

Happy New Year 2025!

Hello Ecole Maple Families,

Welcome back everyone!

We started back with a great week of learning and fun! We also started up our intramurals again, a new games club for grade 1 and 2, and auditions for our production slated to run in the spring!

A reminder to families that we will have a SAC meeting this Tuesday January 14th at 6:30pm. Child care is available!

Thursday, January 16th is Class & Photo Retake Day!

Parking At EMES

Please remember to adhere to the parking restrictions at our school.

Accessible Parking should only be used by passholders and Bus Lanes should be clear before and after school.

Prepare for Winter-Related Bus Delays & Cancelations - Tri-Board

During the winter (roughly late October to early April), Tri-Board works closely with our school bus companies to determine if it is safe to offer school bus transportation on inclement weather days. School buses function differently than other vehicles and sometimes, although it is safe for the average family vehicle to travel, it is not safe for a school bus to be on the road.

Why Use the SchoolMessenger App?

When you join SchoolMessenger, you will be able to:

receive imporant information from LDSB
join classrooms and extra-curricular groups
report a student's absence (same day and in advance)

Reporting A Student's Absence:

The new student absence reporting system will let you use a mobile app, a website, or an interactive toll-free phone number to report an absence in advance. These options are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Future absences can be reported at any time.

If your student is marked absent and the absence hasn’t been reported in advance, our new SafeArrival system will attempt to reach the student’s priority contact by telephone to confirm the absence. If our system is unable to reach the designated contacts, school office staff will follow up.
