Liberty HS Academy for Newcomers
A SCHOOL FOR MULTILINGUAL LEARNERS
FALL REGISTRATION OPEN
Become an EAGLE!
Multilingual/English Language Learners who want to transfer to LHS need an appointment. You can make one with the Parent Coordinator, Carolina Velasquez via email:CVelasquez2@schools.nyc.gov or by calling 212.691.0934 extension 1120. Transfer students should bring a recent transcript with them. Priority is given to students who have passed one regents exam. Also, LHS is a stand-alone ENL program, we do not offer a bilingual program.
Recently arrived newcomers are welcome to register at LHS, home of the Eagles, at any time during the school year. Newcomers must go to the Family Welcome Centers first and request a referral for Liberty high School Academy for Newcomers.
Interested 7th and 8th grade students who are multilingual are invited to attend our open houses. All the upcoming dates are in the NYC Public Schools High School Directory.
