We had a busy week at The Creek last week! Our Homecoming Week activities were a success thanks to our committee: Mrs. Mosby, Mrs. Mani, Ms. Hutcherson, and Ms. McDonald! We would also like to thank our AFJROTC cadets, Orchestra, and Band for their contributions during our homecoming promenade and crowning at halftime of the football game. Congratulations to our SkillsUSA Program under the direction of Mr. Jeff Dykes for being recognized by the 2026 Printing and Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) in the Best of Category awarded to Emily Dykes for Georgia Pin Design. 🎶 Congratulations to Chidera Anara, Catherine Riggle, Joanne Saldierna-Cardenas, and Jocelyn Saldierna-Cardenas for being selected to perform in the North Georgia Honors Orchestra at Kennesaw State University on October 15–16, 2026.

🏈 Congratulations to Coach Smiley and our Varsity Football team for another shut out putting up 55 points over Luella High School. This week, our team will face Woodland High School on the road Friday, October 2nd at 7:30pm. Let's pack the house just like we showed up last week and support our reigning State Champions!

🥎 Congratulations to Coach Chisolm and our Lady Patriot's Softball team for defeating Riverdale High School 22-6 last week.

🚩Congratulations to Coach Comeau and our Lady Patriot's Flag Football team for an incredible double header defeating both teams last week. Creek wins 25-0 over Towers High School and defeats Trinity Christian 25-6.

🏐Congratulations to Coach Rutherford and our Lady Patriots for defeating CCA 2-0 in two straight sets! Please come out on Wednesday, September 30th to celebrate Volleyball Senior Night!

Congratulations to our teacher of the month, Mrs. Jill Lloyd. She has demonstrated exemplary classroom instructional strategies in the areas of retrieval practice and writing to learn. Her students consistently demonstrate what they know from a previous lesson by writing it down without the use of notes or other instructional aides. She also has her students to explain their thinking about their newly learned material.

These two students were selected by Sandy Creek teachers as especially deserving recipients of backpacks filled with school supplies. A special thank you to RG Fitness and Lululemon for their generous donation and support of our students!

Voluntary Workouts start Monday September 28 and continue Tuesday and Thursday’s till Oct. 19th. Please make sure your rankone account is updated or you will not be allowed a workout. Meet Coach Penson at the home side concession stand @ 4 PM. Any questions please see Coach Murphy.

FBLA will meet next Wednesday, 9/30 in Room 405. We will discuss our Fall Rally trip, FBLA Connect, Region competition, member of the month and more. See you there!

Students are invited to the auditorium during A, B, and C lunch for our Hispanic Heritage Assembly. Once you have finished your lunch, join us in the auditorium 15 minutes before your lunch period ends for a celebration of Hispanic culture and heritage. Everyone is welcome! Sandy Creek High School will administer the PSAT/NMSQT on Thursday, October 8, 2026 for students in grades 9–11. 10th graders test for free with no registration required, while 9th and 11th graders must register by Monday, September 21 and pay the $21 fee.

The PSAT is a great opportunity for students to practice for the SAT, explore college and scholarship opportunities, and identify academic strengths. Check the flyer for full details and registration information.

The Sandy Creek High School Band will host its upcoming Chili Cook-Off and Concert on Tuesday, September 29, beginning at 6:00 PM in the SCHS Cafeteria.

Join us for a fun night of community, delicious chili, and live performances by our talented Sandy Creek musicians. We hope to see you there!

The SCHS Media Center is partnering with the Tyrone Public Library to encourage all of our community members to sign up for a library card. Students and staff members can pick up a public library card application in the media center this month. Return your application to the media center by September 30, and your new library card will be returned to you at SCHS.

Student applications will require a parent signature.

Please encourage your students to become lifetime library card holders - starting today!

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 2, 2026! Underclassmen will have the opportunity to take their school pictures, so come ready to smile. Families can also save $10 on picture packages when ordering before Picture Day.

Mark your calendars for the Sandy Creek High School Blood Drive on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 8:30 AM–2:30 PM. Walk-ins are welcome, and all donors will receive drinks, snacks, and a thank-you gift.

Sign-ups will begin Monday, September 28, so be on the lookout for more information on how to participate.

Join the Sandy Creek Dugout Club for Taco Tuesday Spirit Night on Tuesday, October 6 at Grand Mayan Fresh Mex Cantina in Tyrone! Come out, enjoy a great meal, and show your support for SCHS Baseball from 6:00 PM until close.

The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.

• Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
• Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
• After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.

To ensure accurate bus information for every student, Fayette County Public Schools requires families to formally request transportation services before riding the school bus.

All students MUST BE REGISTERED in order to ride a bus. Please convey transportation needs for student(s) by logging into your Campus Parent portal and navigating to the Survey tool. Click here for more information on completing Campus Surveys.

School bus information will also be available in your student's Campus Portal account as well as on the BusQuest mobile app.

Please note that new enrollments and address changes may take up to 48 hours to be processed by the Transportation Department. This time is needed to assign students to a bus stop and/or adjust their route if necessary.

• Students attending outside their school zone on special permission are not eligible for bus transportation
• Students living within a non-transport zone are not eligible for bus transportation.

Student Parking passes are available all year for $70 and should be displayed in the bottom corner of the driver's side windshield.

Our scoreboard was built in 1991 and we are in need of a new board to match our dynamic and talented athletic teams.
