Today is our last K & Coffee for the year!
Bubble Kick-off fun celebrating The Week of the Young Child!
The Week of the Young Child® is a time to recognize that children's opportunities are our responsibilities, and to recommit ourselves to ensuring that each and every child experiences the type of early environment—at home, at child care, at school, and in the community—that will promote their early learning.
Dr. Buffington and Mayor Huddleston were on hand to help Mrs. Gutierrez and The Early Learning Center staff and students kick off The Week of the Young Student with their annual Bubble Bonanza! It was a beautiful, sunny morning...perfect for bubble-blowing!
KINDERS LEARNING TO CODE!!
Thank you to all that came out to HHS for the Makers Fair!
Miss Kelly's Class also spent time working on coding this week too!
If you have not filled out this form for 1st grade, we need you to do so ASAP!
These forms came home at the beginning of the week. You will have ONE of these in your child’s folder. The colors are different depending on school. Please fill out the paper in your child's folder asking which school they will be attending next year and return it ASAP. We need to have one returned for every child! The home school listed was determined by the address we have provided in Skyward. Please contact the office with any questions or concerns regarding the home school. Thank you!
Cereal Drive!!!!
Raffle tickets came home on Monday 4/8!!!!
We will be sending home raffle tickets on Monday 4/8 for a raffle that benefits our Brickies from the Start program. We would love if everyone was able to participate and sell the 12 tickets sent home with them. However, if you are not able to participate- please just leave the envelope in your child's folder and stick a little note on it that says "Not Participating" so we know to take them out of their folders.
If you are participating, once your tickets are sold send the payment and stubs back in the envelope that is provided. If you want to join the 24 club, please let your child's teacher know that you would like to get 12 more tickets.
All stubs and money will be due back by 4/26/24. Thanks in advance for your participation!!
Get ready to Splish & Splash!!!
THANK YOU to all who shopped and supported our Spring Book Fair!
Thank you to everyone who shopped the Book Fair. We so appreciate your support. Shopping the fair helps to get books back in to the hands of all the kiddos here at The ELC... so we SO appreciate your purchases!!!
Did you know that you as parents can nominate a staff member to be recognized as someone who is Being Excellent On Purpose? Dr. Buffington LOVES to know about and celebrate the positive!

The School City of Hobart Building Brickies' goal is to strengthen families by empowering parents as their child’s first and best teachers. Every day, we advocate for families so every child-in every neighborhood-can thrive.
OH NO!!! YOUR LITTLE BRICKIE ISN'T FEELING WELL?
If your child isn't feeling well, please keep him or her at home. You must report the absence IN SKYWARD before 10:00AM. There is no need to call the school to let us know. If there are any questions about the absence, we will reach out to you.
