A Note From Mr. Rodemeyer

BIS Families,

Summer is here! Summer is a time to rest and reflect on all the wonderful experiences this year has provided . In addition, it allows us all to reload, re-energize, and relax before a new, exciting school year begins. Each day this summer also provides an opportunity for learning to take place. Here are a few low-tech summertime ideas to keep the heart healthy and minds sharp:

READ, READ, READ!
Walk, bike, hike on the paths and trails throughout our city and county.
Organize a family or neighborhood frisbee golf, cornhole, soccer or baseball game together.
Plant a garden, a tree, pot a flower, or assist with landscaping around the house.
Have the kids invent or plan the menu for a family picnic or BBQ.

Report Cards

You can view 2025-2026 report cards via Infinate Campus! To do so, please follow these steps:

login to Infinite Campus- parent portal access
from the MENU options in the upper left corner, select DOCUMENTS
select REPORT CARDS for the 2025-26 school year
if you have more than 1 student, you will need to select the student's photo and name in the upper right corner to change the information.

10 - Teacher Assignments will be shared out sometime this week

27 - 3rd Grade/New Family Orientation. 5-5:20pm (BIS gym)

27 - Party on the Playground, 5:30-7:30pm (tables set up near BPS)

September

1-3 - Before School Conferences

Families can meet their teacher
Students will also have a chance to take their school picture(Lifetouch will take their lunch break from 12-12:30pm), deposit lunch money, pay for snack cart, med drop off with our nurse, etc.

4 - First day of school

15 - Flu Shot Clinic

26 - Picture Retake

Party on the Playground

When: Thursday August 27th

Time: 5:30-7:30pm

Location: Byron Primary School Playground

Come enjoy some fun, treats and learn about opportunities for students in the Byron community. There will be vendors and food trucks!

More info to come early August!!

Limited parking is available. Families are welcome to park at Byron Primary or Byron Intermediate and walk down. **The BUS LANE is for the food vendors only**
