Video Announcement Team

Has your child told you about our Video announcements every Monday and Friday? This morning highlight brings us school news and updates, shows us secret rooms in the building, allows us to get to know students and staff better through interviews, and shows us pictures of Woodrow students throughout the building. We love our video announcements!

Meet our Video Announcement Team. The students have taken on more responsibilities as we have progressed through the year. The team has now divided into editing, photography, videography, and student feedback. They are a fantastic group!

Student Lighthouse Team - Round 2

Woodrow Wilson is excited to share that our second round of Student Lighthouse members has been selected! These students are eager to take on important leadership roles for the remainder of the school year. Our first meeting was off to a great start when a member of our first Student Lighthouse group demonstrated leadership by explaining expectations to our new members. They shared what it truly means to be a leader and what being a positive role model looks like at Woodrow Wilson. For the second year in a row, our Student Lighthouse members and classrooms participated in New York State Assemblyman Pat Chludzinski’s annual “Valentines for Seniors” program by creating handmade Valentine cards. This meaningful activity gave students an opportunity to spread kindness while making a positive impact beyond our school walls. We can’t wait to see the impact this new team of young leaders will make!

The Student lighthouse leaders created a quick craft that will teach to their classmates this week. Each lighthouse member has a model to show their classmates and will be leading this activity in each classroom. We are excited for their Valentines leadership activity!
