We had a wonderful week of learning, celebration, and community at MGA, and I am excited to share a few highlights with you.
Our 5th graders participated in a fantastic game against Brock Bridge’s 5th grade team. The energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship on display made us incredibly proud. It was a joy to see students cheering one another on and representing MGA with pride.
We also enjoyed a beautiful band concert this week. Our student musicians performed with confidence and heart, showcasing the growth they have made under the guidance of our dedicated music staff. Moments like these remind us how important the arts are in helping students express themselves and build discipline, creativity, and joy.
In classrooms across the building, students continue to engage in meaningful learning experiences. As we move deeper into the final stretch of the school year, teachers are focused on strengthening skills, deepening understanding, and preparing students for a strong finish. Thank you for continuing to support learning at home by encouraging reading, consistent routines, and positive conversations about school.
On May 18, we recognize Speech-Language Pathologist Day. Speech therapy plays a vital role in helping students develop communication skills that support academic success, social relationships, and confidence. Our speech-language pathologist, Ms. Rubin, work tirelessly to help students find their voice, literally and figuratively, and we are grateful for the expertise and care they bring to our school community. Please join me in celebrating her impact.
As always, thank you for your continued partnership. Your support helps make MGA a place where students feel safe, challenged, and inspired. We look forward to another great week together.
Warm regards,
🎤PTA NEWS🎤
This is the last PTA meeting for the school year and a very special one! PTA members will be voting for our next PTA Board - don't miss your chance to have a sneak peek of who will be representing us during the next school year.
Also, a friendly reminder that you are not too late if you would like to join the PTA Board. You can run for a position from the floor (must be a paid PTA member). If you have any questions before the meeting, feel free to send an email to secretary@mgapta.org.
Have a wonderful weekend! We hope to see you on Tuesday at 6:00 pm at the virtual meeting.
