Girls Indoor Track Has a Historic Day at the Division 5 State Relays

Congratulations to Coach Townsend and the girls indoor track team on their performance at the Division 5 relays this past weekend.

The 4x50 shuttle relay team (a state relay event) of Ava Smith, Liz Lange, Kyah Montano, and Alyson Casey set a school mark of 26.34 place and 6th place at the meet.

The 4x200 team (Casey Keyes, Alyson Casey, Gianna Yordanopoulos, Liz Lange) knocked a second off the 2020 school record (Gianna and Liz were members of that team) for a 3rd place finish at 1:53.41.

The 4x400 team of Lilia Young, Julia Lenfest, Jessica Casey, and Kyah Montano shaved 13 seconds off their own school record and ran a 4:20.94 for 3rd place

The 4x800 team took down the 2008 school record by 44 seconds! Reed Dunster, Avery Orff, Gretchen Uthoff, and Emma Nadolski ran a 11:13. It was the first time they had run together as a team.

Finally Gianna Yordanopoulos set an individual school record in the long jump at 15'7.75", besting Rachel Bloznalis's school record from 2011. Gianna's was the furthest individual jump of the day.

A tremendous day from our indoor track team.

Meet the Nipmuc Swimmers

Over the course of the next few newsletters we will highlight some of our co-op winter athletes who compete for other schools. Our first group of athletes compete for Grafton High School as members of their swim team. These profiles are being presented by athletic intern Jack Bruno, who is also a member of the Grafton Swim Team.

Nipmuc Highlights: 2015 Boys Golf team

We will be highlighting great Nipmuc teams from the past in our upcoming newsletters. Our first team is the 2015 Golf Team. The 2015 team was the first of three straight Division 2 Central Sectional Champions, who also also doubled as DVC league champions. The team finished with a 13-2-1 dual match record and was undefeated in the league at 6-0.
