Raising over $3000!!! 1st -4th grade participate in the AHA Kids Heart Challenge
Our 1st–4th graders haven’t been spending their time on the couch playing video games and eating candy—they’ve been busy jumping for a cause! These students have been practicing their jump rope skills while raising money to help children with heart disease through the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge.
Last Friday, Coach Keila, who leads the Kids Heart Challenge in PE class, hosted an exciting jump rope competition. Classes went head-to-head in forward, backward, and one-foot jump roping, showing off their skills and having a blast along the way.
The best part? Not only did everyone have fun, but they also made a difference—raising over $3,000 to support kids with heart challenges!
***Take the survey today. Parent surveys are still open. ***
Each year, we invite our families to participate in our Annual Parent Survey. This survey is an important tool that helps us better understand how we are doing as a school and how we can continue to grow and improve.
Your feedback provides valuable insight into what we are doing well and where we can strengthen our programs, communication, and overall school experience. Thoughtful input from parents allows us to make informed decisions that positively impact our students, staff, and school community.
Please know that your voice truly matters. We carefully review every response, and your perspective plays a meaningful role in shaping future goals and improvements. Whether your feedback affirms what is working or offers suggestions for growth, it is greatly appreciated.
The survey will take only a few minutes to complete, and we encourage every parent and guardian to participate. Your partnership and support help us remain focused on providing the very best educational experience for our students. Please use the link below to access our KAES survey.
Elementary Culture & Heritage Day was a great success
On this special day, our students embarked on an exciting journey around the world—without ever leaving the school! They visited teachers representing each continent and learned about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life from across the globe.
To make the experience even more meaningful, students had the opportunity to dress in cultural clothing that reflected their own heritage or a culture they feel connected to.
The day concluded with a joyful culminating celebration as students participated in a colorful cultural parade around the gym, proudly representing the beauty and diversity of the world. As they marched together, the song “Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World” reminded everyone of the powerful message that God’s love extends to every nation, culture, and people.

Calendar adjustment
With the unexpected loss of school days we had in February, KAES will need to have school on Friday April 3, 2026. This was listed as a possible weather makeup day on the calendar. This will be a half day (noon release). Please plan to have your child attend on April 3.
KAES teams win at the Texas Conference Mind Games
The Texas Conference Mind Games is an exciting trivia showdown that brings together Adventist schools from across North Texas for a test of knowledge, teamwork, and quick thinking. The competition features two divisions—Elementary (3rd–5th grade) and Junior High (6th–8th grade). Students face challenging questions from math, science, history, and the Bible as they compete in fast-paced rounds that gradually narrow the field.
With each round, teams are eliminated until only the top four schools remain. The final round shifts into a thrilling Jeopardy-style showdown, where strategy and knowledge combine and the team with the highest score takes the championship.
We are incredibly proud of our KAES students for the way they represented our school. Our Elementary team earned an impressive second-place finish, while our Junior High team captured first place—an outstanding accomplishment! Their trophies are now proudly displayed in the cabinet by the library.
As an added bonus, every one of our participating students also received a scholarship from Southwestern Adventist University, which they can use after graduating from KAES—though they might want to enjoy high school first!
It was a fantastic day of learning, teamwork, and school pride. Way to go, KAES!

Into the Great Outdoors
At KAES our teachers know that learning doesn’t just happen in a classroom—it happens everywhere! This quarter, our students embraced the great outdoors in unforgettable ways: they trekked an 8-mile hike through the woods, explored the science of bubbles, got up close and personal with fish, enjoyed some quiet time reading, played fun games, and even unleashed their creativity with painting. Just look at those smiles! God’s incredible design shines through in every adventure and every moment of joy.
