Fun updates from our educators!
Miss Gaines 1st Grade Classroom
The school year is off to a fantastic start, and our first graders are thriving as they settle into their new routines! We’ve hit the ground running with lots of exciting learning.
In Reading, students are identifying and generating rhymes, reviewing letter names and sounds, blending and substituting phonemes to build words, and digging into key details from texts.
In Math, we're exploring number patterns, counting all the way to 120, and using number lines to build fluency and confidence.
Our Writing lessons focus on forming upper- and lowercase letters correctly, using finger spaces between words, and ending sentences with the right punctuation.
We're also looking forward to our very first field trip of the year—to Peter’s Pumpkin Patch!

Ms. Shaw's STEAM Update!
Our classrooms have been buzzing with creativity and curiosity!
- Grades 2–6 are composing their own digital music using BeepBox! Students are learning how patterns, pitch, and rhythm combine to make some pretty amazing tunes — it’s like math and music rolled into one. 🎵
- Kindergarten students are strengthening math and fine motor skills through hands-on exploration, building the foundations for future STEAM fun.
- First Grade has been hard at work on typing skills — those little fingers are flying across the keyboard! Next up, we’ll dive into coding for the second half of the quarter, bringing their creativity to life in new ways.
It’s been an exciting time of discovery, design, and digital creativity in STEAM!
