We value your input as well, if you would like to share considerations with us, kindly complete and return this form by Monday, May 4th. Forms that request or exclude specific staff members will be discarded. Please note the completion of this form is optional.

Stella's Station
This week’s game Number Top It can be played by any level of student. For this game, you need the number cards in a deck of cards - to increase the challenge of the game, the face cards can be kept in and assigned the numbers 11-13 and the ace can be 1.
The first player turns over four cards. A fifth card is turned over and is the target number.
Player One tries to name the target number by adding or subtracting the numbers on two of the five face-up cards.
A successful player takes both the two face-up cards and the target card. This player then replaces the three cards used, with the third card chosen to be the new target number.
If player cannot make an equation, they flip a new card to be used as the target number, and the other four cards are now used by the next player.
The game ends when all the cards in the deck have been used. The player with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
EX - Player flips over 7, 4, 3, and 9 The target number (the fifth card flipped) is 2. Player makes the equation 9-7 = 2, and then takes these three cards for their discard pile. Three new cards are drawn, and the next player uses those.
To increase the complexity of the game, you can have players use as many of the four cards as they can to make the target number. You can also add numbplaication and division into the game to increase the challenge.
ARAB-AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
In April 2022, April was first officially recognized as National Arab American Heritage Month. The month celebrates the Arab American heritage and culture and pays tribute to the contributions of Arab Americans and Arabic-speaking Americans.
PASSOVER (Begins APR 1)
Passover, also called Pesach, is a major Jewish holiday that celebrates freedom and justice. Passover is celebrated with two traditional meals called seders, on the first two nights of the holiday. Seder translates to "order" in Hebrew, because there is a ritual order of the prayers read and the foods eaten.

REPEAT INFORMATION
Recognize a Windsor Staff Member
We would love to hear from you! Windsor teachers, teaching assistants, custodians, and staff work hard to support our students on a daily basis. We invite you to fill out the form below if you would like to recognize a staff member or a team for their hard work. We will pass on the good news to them. Thank you in advance for sending an encouraging word as we know it will mean so much to our staff.
Notes from the Nurse
Winter is the time of year when we notice cases of lice in our school community. While lice are a common occurrence and not a health hazard, it’s important to remain vigilant.
Please take a moment to read this INFORMATIONAL LETTER on HEAD LICE which includes helpful information about identifying and preventing the spread of lice.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Reminder: Student Safety and ICE-related Concerns
Student safety remains a top priority in District 25. All schools are safe and welcoming for every student and family, with district procedures in place to support students’ safety and learning in the event of any ICE-related incident. The district will continue to share information with families to reinforce our commitment to keeping students safe.

Windsor Drive Drop and Go
Just a reminder, please pull all of the way up on Windsor Drive to our furtherest staff member no matter which door your child enters the building through. We have many staff members outside monitoring our students as they exit cars and walk into the building. This helps to keep our intersection at Windsor and Miner clear. While there are not many families driving to school now, as the weather gets cooler or rainy, many will opt to drive, so we ask that you follow these expectations each day.
We appreciate you parking on alternate streets for arrival and dismissal. It helps to alleviate congestion on Windsor Drive. We have had some concerns raised from neighbors that live on the Sunset Terrace cul de sac, due to Windsor families parking in the cul de sac, delivery trucks and those who live there are not able to access their homes during our arrival and pick up. Please only park on one side of the street and not in the actual cul de sac to ensure that our neighbors are able to access their homes at all times. Thank you!
Important Arrival and Dismissal Information
Our staff cannot assist your children in getting out of your vehicle so please have them ready to exit the car with backpacks and other belongings ready to go on the passenger side.
**We will not have staff supervising students on the playground anytime before school starts. Please do not drop off your child early to play on the playground. Students are not permitted to play on the playground before school. We will open doors for student entrance at 8:55. Door supervision begins at 8:50 and ends at 9:05am. If you arrive after 9:05, please bring your child to the front office.
