School begins Thursday, August 27, and we’re ready to kick off another year. At QSI Benin, our focus goes beyond academics—we’re shaping memorable experiences that make school meaningful for students and strengthen our community with families.

In this newsletter, you’ll find some essentials: first days, drop-off/pick-up, calendar links and more.

Join us on Wednesday, August 26, from 4:00–6:00 PM for our Open House. This is a relaxed time to visit campus—whether it’s your first look or a return after summer—meet teachers and staff, and get a feel for the year ahead.

It’s an open format with no scheduled meetings, so drop in anytime between 4:00 and 6:00 PM for a quick chat and a chance to connect.

School Hours & Dismissal

• Class begins at 8:05 AM. The school gate opens at 7:45 AM.

• Pre-School (ages 3-4): Dismiss at 2:45 PM.

• Elementary (ages 5-11): Mondays and Fridays dismiss at 2:45 PM. Tuesday–Thursday dismiss at 3:30 PM following optional 8th Period Activities.

• Secondary (ages 12+): Regular dismissal is 3:30 PM. After-school activities dismiss at varying times.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up
After many years in education, I’ve seen drop-off routines become a point of frustration for some—but at the end of the day, nothing is more important than student safety.

🚗 Enter from the west side of the school via Rue 451
🚗 Continue up Rue 238 (QSI will be on the right)
🚗 Exit at Rue 449 near Ci Gusta!

Important Reminders
✔️ Stop only long enough for children to exit the car
✔️ Parents who walk children in must park—do not block the drop-off lane
✔️ Drive slowly through the drop-off area
✔️ Do not pass other vehicles
✔️ Follow staff directions to keep traffic moving safely

Stay up to date with all that’s happening this year. We publish two calendars:

• Academic Calendar – key dates for the school year (start/end dates, holidays, breaks, exams).

• Planning Event Calendar - This is our live calendar, subject to change. We are still working with the community to plan exciting events throughout the year.
