Happy Halloween Jaguar Nation!

We had a great Red Ribbon Week with students and staff dressing up and showing school spirit each day. We averaged around 500 students participating daily, which truly shows Jones pride and support for Red Ribbon Week.

Congratulations to Ms. Larizza and our Theatre students for putting on an amazing Beetlejuice performance! This is not an easy musical, and our students did a fantastic job in our first-ever fall musical. Special thanks to the staff members who contributed to this success β€” Mr. Roark for set creation, Mr. Grissom for building the Sandworm, Ms. Castaneda and Ms. Sensenich for vocal support, and Mr. Boyd for sound and tech.

Next week, we’ll wrap up the football season with our final games and finish strong with district volleyball tournaments! If you haven’t already, follow us on social media β€” our yearbook and broadcast students are sharing pictures from each event on our website, Facebook, and Instagram. They are truly producing some great media!

We would also love to invite all members of our Jones community to our Veterans Day celebration on the morning of Monday, November 11. Please see the link below for information on how to register your veteran to be recognized during our breakfast and enjoy an amazing morning of music and gratitude as we honor those who have served.

Has your student lost a water bottle, hoodie, or lunch box? It’s probably in our Lost and Found! All unclaimed items will be donated the Friday before Thanksgiving. Please see the pictures below and remind your student to check. We also recommend labeling hoodies and water bottles with names to help them find their way back home.

The Jones Administration Team would like to wish everyone a safe and fun Halloween! Enjoy the festivities and have a great evening with friends and family.

Have a great weekend! Go Jags!

Together We Champion

This past Saturday we had 14 students from Jones compete at the Region 25 All Region Orchestra Competition. This is an individual competition where students that have 1 or more years of experience learn a packet of music and then perform selections from the packet for a panel of judges. The music is very difficult and the students are performing in front of 20-25 peers in addition to the judges. Our region is one of the most competitive regions in the state and we had well over 1000 students auditioning for spots in 3 different orchestras. Congratulations to our seven students for making All Region Orchestra!

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

🫢 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
