Toileting and Potty Training
Below is a helpful article on supporting potty training at home.
We fully understand that children can be constipated from time to time. If by chance your child needs to take a supplement or medicine to help them, please consider giving it to them after their preschool session. If this is not possible, please give your classroom teacher a heads-up.
Halloween Parade/Class Parties
On Friday, October 30th, Redwood will host their annual costume parade. The parade will take place outside of the building at 10:00 for all full day students and AM LEAPS students. We will have a smaller parade for PM Leaps and PM Kindergarten at 1:30.
Parents are invited to line the driveway and enjoy all the amazing costumes!
Class parties are being organized by the PTA Room parent/s. Class parties will be from 915-10 and from 1245-130.
Kindness Rocks
Socktober
The Kindness Club is celebrating Socktober by giving those lonely, mismatched socks a second chance!
Throughout the month of October, we’re collecting clean, gently used odd socks. We’ll match socks as closely as possible and donate them helping put those single socks to good use.
Have a sock without a pair? Donate it! Let’s make this Socktober a month of matching, giving, and kindness. 💙
Bring your clean odd socks to the Kindness Club collection throughout October!

Notes from the Nurse
- Practice good handwashing, especially before eating and after playing or participating in activities.
- Encourage good cough and sneeze habits by covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow.
- Take a moment to check your child’s hair and scalp.
- Please keep your child home if they are sick, have a fever, or are not feeling well enough to participate in the school day. If your child wakes up feeling unwell, please give them the opportunity to rest and recover at home rather than sending them to school to see how they do. The school clinic is here to support students during the school day, but it should not be used to determine whether a child is well enough to attend school. Keeping children home when they are sick helps them recover and helps protect the health of our school community.
Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff healthy!
