History/Science - 2nd Block (9:47-11:20)*
**All students present for exams must be picked up by 11:30.
Friday, December 20 - Exams
ELA - 1st Block (8:00-9:44): Students may be picked up at 9:44*
Students not picked up the end of 1st block will be supervised in the gym until 11:30.
**All students present must be picked up by 11:30.
*Students must stay until the end of the block for the test they are taking. They are not allowed to call home to say they are finished and for someone to pick them up then. On Thursday, students need to communicate with their parents to be picked up at either 9:44 or 11:20, depending on if they are taking one or both exams. On Friday, every student taking the ELA exam will only be allowed to be picked up at 9:44 when the bell rings.
**For students who may still be here after that last exam and want lunch, they will be allowed to go through the McBride line before going home.
OTHER INFORMATION:
If students have exempted exams, they do not have to be at school on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. If a student comes to school on the review and exam days, he/she will be required to do the review and take the exam(s).
On exam review and exam days, they only have to come during the time of the exam they have to take. For example, on review day, if they only have to take the ELA exam, that is the only time they come on review day. STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO CHECK IN OR OUT AT THE OFFICE on review or exam days. If students, for example, have exempted a first block exam but have to take a second block exam, they are to come at the designated time for the second block exam and GO STRAIGHT TO THEIR 2ND BLOCK CLASS. There is no need for students to go by the office at all. They go directly to their classes and then can leave at the time that is designated at the end of the exam.
Parents must make arrangements to pick their child up at school no later than 11:20 am (11:30 am if the student is eating lunch) on both exam days (possibly earlier depending on what time your child’s exams conclude). Parents and/or students do not need to go by the office for pick up. The office will not be able to call students out of exams nor will students be allowed to check out for any reason during exams. Students are not allowed to leave when they finish the exam early. They will be allowed to leave at the end of that block when the bell rings. Therefore, there is no reason for them to have to text or call to say they are finished with an exam. For example, if they are taking only the math exam on Thursday, they will need to be picked up at 9:44, not any earlier, even if they complete the exam before that time.
WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING ITEMS THROUGH TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17!
ORDER YOUR AZAIAH STRONG SHIRTS TODAY!
PLEASE READ BELOW ABOUT AZAIAH
Azaiah, a MSMS student, is bravely facing Acute Lymphoblastoma Leukemia once more after a year of remission. His original diagnosis came when he was 9 years old.
This time, his Leukemia has not only returned, but has spread into the spinal fluid along with the fluid surrounding his brain and eyes. He will be admitted into the Children’s Hospital full-time, undergoing aggressive chemotherapy and radiation before receiving a life saving bone-marrow transplant.
During this time of treatment, his mom, Tiffany, will be unable to work as she will be at his side while he fights this battle. This is the nightmare that no parent wants to face. Please help us stand in the gap for this family and serve as the reminder that NO FAMILY FIGHTS ALONE.
Proceeds from the sale of the #AzaiahStrong hats will be donated directly to the Lopez family and all orders must be placed by scanning the QR code or using the link below. The school (nor school system) is responsible for hat orders and cannot take money for them.
Please consider supporting this Muscle Shoals family, and our very own Azaiah, during this extremely difficult time, and pre-order your #AzaiahStrong shirts and/or hats today. What better way can we support our #faMily in a time such as this?
Later in the semester, we will have a day where those who purchased their T-shirts and hats can wear them to school or a hat of their choice for a $2 donation to help show our support for Azaiah and his family.
