Warrior Nation,

We are officially settling into the rhythm of the school year, and it has been exciting to see our Warriors learning, growing, competing, and finding their place on our campus. Thank you for continuing to partner with us as we work together to make this a successful year for every student.

As we approach the six-week mark, I want to remind families that our first eligibility check will take place on Friday, September 18. This is an important checkpoint for students as we review academic progress and make sure they are on track to participate in the activities they love. If your child is involved in athletics, fine arts, CTE organizations, or other extracurricular activities, please encourage them to stay focused, communicate with their teachers, and take advantage of the support available to them.

Six weeks in, there is still plenty of time to make adjustments, ask for help, and finish the first nine week marking period strong. Thank you for being such an important part of Warrior Nation. Together, we will continue to take care of each other, hold ourselves to a higher standard, and leave things better than we found them.

Go Warriors!

Melissa Hurst
Principal, Earl Warren High School

9/11/2001 9/11/2001

Twenty-five years ago, our nation faced a tragedy that forever altered the lives of every

American. The September 11th, 2001 attacks on the United States resulted in the loss of 2,977

innocent lives, and left countless injured and grieving in the aftermath.

As we pause to remember the events of that day, let us not only honor the memory of those we

lost, but let us be reminded to uphold the spirit of courage and determination that unified our

nation. We are a country founded on the principles of freedom, justice, and peace. These values

that bring us together should serve as a reminder that we continue to treat one another

respectfully, uphold the ideals of diversity, and be thankful for those who serve and protect our

country.

We will never forget.

We love seeing our parents and community at all of our athletic events. We want to remind spectators to cheer on our students and teams in a positive way. We also want to remind everyone that Texas Senate Bill 2929, which was passed during the summer of 2025, added a new provision that allows officials to remove a spectator without any previous verbal warning.
