Greetings Heartland Families!
It is officially November! It is hard to believe that we are 16 school days away from the Thanksgiving holiday and then 3 weeks after that it will be our holiday break. This school year is going way too fast!
Over the next few weeks we will be working hard to gear up for our mid year iReady testing. In early December, all students will be taking their mid year iReady test in reading and math. This is such an important time of the year as it gives us an opportunity to see how our students are progressing and to ensure they are on track in meeting their growth goals. Teachers and our administrative team will be meeting with students to goal set and motivate them to do their best on their iReady test. As we get closer to the iReady testing window, we will notify you of the schedule and they day your student will be testing.
We are getting excited as we prepare for our Veterans Day program, scheduled for Tuesday, November 11th at 12:30PM. If you are a Veteran and plan on attending, please make sure to stop by our school office to have your ID scanned. This will save you time the day you arrive.
We have officially switched over to our visitor and safety platform called RAPTOR. Due to the switch, we have to scan all visitors in the new system. Please make sure that when you visit our school you have your ID ready to present each time. Even though you will be scanned into the system, it is law that any visitor that visits a school must present a valid ID upon entering. Visitors must also state the purpose of their visit. Thank you for helping us abide by the laws that have been assigned to us.
