Hello wonderful families and community members!

We hope that your summer is off to a great start and you are enjoying some well-deserved rest! We cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful conclusion to the 2025-2026 school year. We wanted to send quick, easy to read updates for our community.

1. Carol Redmond and Gifted and Talented- Carol has made the exciting decision to join Seth Geltman in retirement! Please join me in congratulating Carol and thanking her for her wonderful work. We are going to miss her and wish you and Seth the best retirement ever! Carol is still planning to substitute in the building. We have posted the position and will update the community as we interview and select a candidate.

4. Construction updates: Things are moving along nicely here! GH Phipps has been working hard to complete the interior renovations. We also approved the shelving and cabinetry in the current building's classrooms. Our field and recess renovation is set to take place right around the 4th of July. We are very excited about these changes and additions and can't wait to share with everyone in the Fall.

A huge thanks to Jodi Peterson and Brandon Doer for already hanging the 30th Eagle Art Piece! This Eagle is displayed proudly right inside the school entrance. A huge thank you to all the families, staff, alumni and members who joined our 30th celebration.

Here are some fun pictures around the building!

Best, Travis

☀️ Keep the Summer Slide at Bay!

We hope you are enjoying the sunshine and settling into a wonderful summer routine! While we want our Eagles to have plenty of time to relax, play outside, and rejuvenate, a little bit of daily practice goes a long way. To help your child stay sharp, confident, and avoid the "summer slide," we encourage you to explore these free resources over the break. Remember, these are just suggestions—please find a balance that works best for your family!

💻 iReady Lessons (Available until July 14th)

Students can continue accessing personalized reading and math lessons from home. We recommend completing a minimum of two lessons per week (one in each subject).

  • Using an iPad? Watch this instructional video to learn how to download the Classlink and iReady apps.

  • Using a computer? Reference this help document for logging in.

📚 Daily Reading Practice

Consistent reading for just 15–30 minutes a day is the single best way to maintain academic skills. Check out these great resources:

  • Arapahoe Libraries Summer Reading Program: Visit to earn prizes and free books!

  • SORA Online Library: Digitally check out books right from home.

  • 7th & 8th Graders: Don't forget to check out this special middle school reading resource put together by Ms. Bradley!

✏️ Summer Readiness Packets

Summer Readiness packets review the core standards essential for success in your student's upcoming grade level. You can also review the expectations and curriculum maps to see what content lies ahead.

  • 🎉 Elementary Perk (Grades 1–4): Students who complete and return their packet during the first week of school will be invited to a special pizza party lunch bunch!

Thank you for being such incredible partners in your child’s education. Have a restful, safe, and wonderful summer!
