Mill Valley Weekly
Thursday, September 3rd, 2026
Hello Mill Valley Families,
The school year is now in full swing, and our hallways are filled with excitement and learning!
Our students are currently busy mastering the expectations for every area of our building—including the bathrooms, buses, playground, hallways, and cafeteria. To celebrate their hard work in learning these positive behaviors, every student who completes their expectations training across all areas will earn a ticket to our upcoming All-School Dance Party with DJ Awadallah tomorrow!
Yesterday, we held our very first monthly all-school assembly of the year! These monthly assemblies are called Golden Awards, where classrooms earn Golden Awards to highlight and celebrate their positive choices in specific areas around the school (specials, lunch room, playground, etc). Be on the lookout, as we will share our classroom winners after each monthly Golden Awards Assembly! Yesterday, we presented the first golden award...the Golden Assembly Trophy, to the class who demonstrated our assembly expectations perfectly!
Thank you for your continued partnership and support at home as we build a safe, respectful, and fun learning environment for everyone.
In Partnership,
Allyce Harris
MV Principal
P.S. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Welcome Back! A Message from Dr. S
Welcome Back!!! For those of you who I have not had the pleasure of meeting, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Anna Silberg, and I have the good fortune of returning this year as the Teaching and Learning Behavior Coach and I am in the school counseling department in Muskego-Norway. You may hear my name in reference to working with your student(s) if they are having relationship issues with peers, are struggling with strong emotions or helping new students make new friends. Sometimes I might lead Second Step or Reset Mindfulness lessons in the classroom; and often I get to work with small groups of students on: attention and focus, self-regulation and self-awareness, or responsible decision making skills.
I would like to invite you to reach out to me, or any of the student services team if you feel that your child might benefit from another adult relationship or connection in the school; or, your child might be struggling with something going on at school or at home. Our team is committed to helping your child thrive at school.
Periodically I will write a letter in the newsletter on a topic that I believe may be of interest to parents. If you have any suggestions about information that might be helpful to you or your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Picture Re-take Day ~ Monday, September 21st
If your child has not had a picture taken already, it will be taken then. Ordering information will be given out at the time of pictures.
If a picture was already taken, but a retake is needed, please let your teacher know so your child can be sent for pictures. Please return the original picture package to the photographer at the time of pictures. The same package will be ordered with the new image. New packages will not be received unless the original package is returned.

A Message From out District Nurse...
Hello Mill Valley Families,
As we start our school year, we want to remind you of our district policy regarding the administration of medication at school, Policy 5330 Administration of Medication and Emergency Care.
To ensure the safety of all students, the Board policy requires that all prescription medications be delivered to the school health office in their original pharmacy-labeled packaging. All over-the-counter medications should remain in their original packaging.
Per district policy, school staff cannot accept or administer medications brought in zip-lock bags, unlabelled bottles, or daily pill organizers.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school environment safe.
Parent Square
Back in March, the Muskego Norway District shared the exciting news that we are transitioning to ParentSquare as our new district-wide communication platform. What You Need to Do
