Candy Candy and more Candy!
Isn't kind of weird how Halloween has gone from one day to an entire season of trick or treating? Kids have been draggingng themselves in this week with glorious reports of all the trunk or treats they have been too!
As you might imagine, tired kids strung out on sugar don't make for the best learning environment. Please make sure your child isn't bringing candy to school.
Our handbook says:
It is expected that students will bring healthy nutritious food for snack and lunch. The school recognizes that every student deserves a treat every now and then, but sugary snacks should not make up the bulk of their food. Soft drinks, caffeinated beverages, and energy drinks are not permitted. We strongly encourage every student to bring a refillable water bottle to school each day.
We hope you and family have fun at this time of year and thanks for your help in keeping school, school.
On a related note, please remember that we DO NOT wear costumes to school.
