Sneek Peek Into Next Week
September 15th through September 21st
Notes from Mr. Jones
Dear Claywell Families,
This week has been emotionally challenging, and I want to take a moment to thank each of you. The strength I draw from our incredible staff and students makes all the difference. Walking into school and seeing smiling faces reminds me how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring and supportive community. At Claywell, we are truly blessed to have one another through difficult times.
We Need Your Support – Help Us Build a Safer Space for Our Students
Our school fundraiser is more important than ever. For over ten years, we’ve had a goal to build a fence around our cafeteria. This fence will:
- Prevent the general public from walking onto our campus.
- Eliminate the use of our school grounds as a shortcut.
- Create a safe, outdoor eating and play area for our students.
This project is about safety, security, and giving our children a better experience. If you prefer not to participate in the fundraiser, you can still donate directly to the fencing project. Every contribution helps us move closer to our goal. Thank you for your support!
Free Breakfast and Lunch – Take Advantage!
Did you know your child can receive two hot meals every day for free? I recently spent $150 on just two bags of groceries—food costs are rising, and this is a great way to save. We encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity. It’s nutritious, convenient, and helps ensure every child is ready to learn.
Keep Practicing Computation – It Matters!
Our summer initiative continues! For our K-2 students, fluency in single-digit addition and subtraction is essential. As math becomes more complex, students who struggle with basic computation fall behind. Once they’ve mastered addition and subtraction, move on to multiplication facts through 12.Use flash cards, computer games, or any method that works for your child. The sooner they gain fluency, the stronger their foundation will be for future learning.
Thank you for being part of the Claywell family. Your support, encouragement, and partnership make all the difference. Let’s keep working together to make this year amazing for our kids.
Warm regards,
Rob Jones

🎯 Claywell Elementary Fundraiser: Let’s Build Something Great Together! 🛠️
Claywell families — it’s time for our big school fundraiser, and we’re excited to bring back a tradition that’s been on pause for the past two years!
This year’s fundraiser is all about goal setting, movement, and fun — and the best part? We’ve negotiated a much better return on our time and effort, meaning more of the profits go directly to our school.
💡 Our Goal: $17,000 for a New Fence & Outdoor Space!
We’re raising funds to build a fence that will:
- Secure our cafeteria area by preventing public cut-throughs on campus.
- Create an outdoor seating and play space where students can enjoy lunch and fresh air during the cooler months.
This project will make a lasting impact on our campus, and we’re aiming to complete it within the next couple of months — but we need your help to get there!
💪 We Can Do This, Claywell Community!
You’ve always come through when we’ve asked, and we’re counting on your support again. Whether it’s a donation, participation, or simply spreading the word — every bit helps.
Let’s make this happen for our students and staff. Together, we can build something amazing!
