Monday September 29 3-5 ONLY
One Math Team member will stop in your SCIENCE block to talk up STEM week and get the class excited for Science Day, Math Night and Science Fair.
They will pass out idea pages to grades 3-5 and give you one project booklet to copy for kids that want to participate. I have blocked off the entire week to get materials home.
October 27-31 k-5
A Math Team member will stop by your class during the SCIENCE block to complete a STEM challenge. They are attached to this message. We would love for each grade to present their challenge on the news show during STEM week, but the Math Team member can always do that for you.
November 3-7 STEM WEEK
November 4 k-5
We will celebrate Math Night at Publix! The Math Team wrote 5 scavenger hunt questions for each grade level to find in the store. We will be stationed at a table in front of the entrance from 5-6:30. Kids can pick up their questions and a pencil and then complete the hunt inside for a dum-dum (or something). Ideally, one grade level representative will be there to encourage the kids and help with any questions.
November 6 k-5
It’s Science Day/Night! We will have a full day of science, a tour of the projects, and a presentation from Edventure.
