Highlights from The Mesa
Congrats to the seniors of the Flag Football Team. They also brought home the Pacific League Banner. This is the first Flag Football Banner in school history!
Thank you to Johnson & Johnson for selecting our school for their Virtual Nursing Careers Workshop. Our Aztec students loved learning more about the profession and getting to practice with their very own kits.
From the Principal's Office
Aztec Students and Families,
Whew...what a week on the Mesa! From the spirit days and festivities to the football game and Homecoming Dance, it was wonderful seeing our Aztecs come together to celebrate school spirit and make lasting memories! A big thank you to Mrs. Ruiz and our amazing ASB students for all of their hard work, creativity, and dedication in making this week a success! I'd also like to recognize our Homecoming Court for all of their enthusiasm and efforts throughout the week. And a special congratulations to our 2026 Homecoming King, Nathan, and Queen, Selina who were crowned Friday night right before the rain came! 👑 We hope everyone had a great Homecoming experience!
As our fall sports season begins to wind down, we have even more to celebrate! Congratulations to our Flag Football, Girls Volleyball, Girls Tennis, and Girls Golf teams for advancing to the CIF Playoffs! 🏆 Your hard work, determination, and commitment have paid off, and we couldn't be prouder! We look forward to cheering you on as you represent the Mesa in postseason competition. Let's go, Aztecs!
As Filipino American History Month comes to a close, we have two exciting opportunities to celebrate and learn more about Filipino culture and heritage! Be sure to check out our Filipino Culture Fair on Tuesday at lunch in the quad and our Filipino Assembly on Thursday if your teacher signed your class up to attend! We encourage all students to participate, celebrate, and appreciate the rich cultural diversity that makes our Aztec community so special.
Lastly, a reminder that Progress Reports come out this Friday! 📚 We are officially entering the final seven weeks of the semester, and now is the time to ask yourself an important question: How do YOU want this semester to end? Whether you're working to raise a grade, maintain your academic success, improve your attendance, or simply build better habits, the choices you make over these next seven weeks will determine your results. Take some time this week to reflect on where you are, set realistic goals, and create a plan to finish strong. Remember, it's not just about how you start, but how you finish! Let's make these last seven weeks count!
Let's make it a great week, Aztecs! 💙❤️
Take care,
Ms. Scott

Athletes of the Week
Courtney San Juan- Girls Volleyball @mohvolleyball
Top 5 Strengths:
Individualization, Harmony, Deliberative, Developer, Significance
Courtney is entering her final stretch as an Aztec Volleyball player and is looking to go out with a bang. Tomorrow night she has the opportunity to help her team capture a share of the league title. Her Coach talks about how reliable she is as a leader and has been incredibly proud of the growth she has made as a student-athlete. Courtney says her Developer strength helps her the most in volleyball as it helps her with relationships with teammates which is the most important thing in a team sport.
Charlyn Siebo- Girls Flag Football @moh.flagfootball
Top 5 Strengths:
Consistency, Includer, Achiever, Positivity, Learner
Charlyn has had a tremendous season for the Flag Football team. She is a defensive stopper as one of the team’s leading flag pullers. Her Coach says she is so good that he can put her at any area on the defensive side and she will shut that side of the field down. She has been big in helping them@clinch the league title. Charlyn says the top strength she uses in Flag Football is her Achiever strength. She sets goals at each practice and game and works her hardest to achieve those goals.
Congratulations! You make us all Proud to be an Aztec!!
