๐Ÿ’› BERKELEY COUNTY GOES GOLD โ€“ SEPTEMBER 16 ๐Ÿ’›

Country Roads Creations is offering Childhood Cancer Awareness shirts for just $10 each for students, staff, families, and community members who would like to participate.

All proceeds from these shirts will be donated to support childhood cancer research.

When ordering, families and staff can use the code FREESHIP to remove shipping costs. We simply ask that they include their school name with their order, and we will sort and deliver the shirts directly to each participating school the week before September 16.

Here is the ordering link - please list your STUDENTS name if you are ordering a shirt to be delivered to HMS

My hope is that on September 16, we can look across Berkeley County and see schools filled with GOLDโ€” in honor of every child who is still fighting.

These kids deserve more awareness.
They deserve more research.
They deserve better treatments.
They deserve more.

Together, I truly believe Berkeley County can GO GOLD in a big way this September. ๐Ÿ’›

Become a PASS Volunteer

HMS is looking for volunteers to mentor some of our students. PASS volunteers provide academic and student support to students on a one-to-one ongoing basis, generally 30 minutes per week.

Our Destination is Graduation!

Your assistance is key to ensuring the academic success of PASS students! Sign-up TODAY to become a PASS Volunteer.

Research shows that on-going personal involvement enhances the education of students as they progress through the educational system and impacts their decision to remain in school.

A PASS volunteer may assist a student with a particular area of study or spend time talking with a student in an effort to provide encouragement and support.

Potential volunteers will need to be a level one volunteer. This means that they will have to undergo a background check from the WVDE.

Volunteers will be paired with a student and meet with that student at the same time every week. Volunteers can help with assignments, just listen to the student, work on a puzzle, play a game, etc. to fit the needs of the student.

Apply online: https://www.berkeleycountyschools.org/page/family-community-engagement

Join us and make a difference. Volunteer today!

Berkeley County Backpack program:

If your family faces food insecurity and you are in need of help, please complete this form. Your student will be given a food bag at the end of every week for the weekend. Please have your student return them to homeroom teachers.
