Wasmer Weekly Update
August 31, 2025
September 1 - September 5
Beginning of Year Updates
Wildcat Families,
I am so proud of our students. Not only have our students been re-learning school expectations, but adjusting to a new schedule and getting back into the flow of school! I have made it into every classroom to observe and experience the magic of learning in all locations. Please continue to ask your students about their day because you are a very important component in your student's education!
While the kids were off on Friday, our teachers spent the day digging into the data from testing to ensure all students will receive the support or enrichment they may need in either reading or math. What I Need (WIN) groups will begin this week because of the very intentional planning that took place.
I am honored to be a Wasmer Wildcat!

MOVEMENT SPOTLIGHT!
We will have a family movement goal this week. If your family (even parent and student) walk for a total of 20 minutes this week, please have your student let the teacher know. The class with the most students who have read or listened to either book will earn an EXTRA RECESS!!!
Positive Office Referrals!
This week we had two young women receive positive office referrals! Our 5th grade student was a great friend in showing a new student around Wasmer, while also introducing her to staff! Our 2nd grade student was using compliments to others to fill their buckets! Talk about two KIND students. Way to go, girls!!
