We want to give a HUGE thank you to all who came out to the Kramer Carnival! It was amazing to see our families having fun, students from years past, teachers, a few Talawanda board members and community all in one place to support our Kramer students! With your GENEROUS giving, our PTG was able to bring in $10,482 that will go towards field trips and help support our classrooms. And we can't forget to give a BIG round of applause to our Kramer PTG for organizing this event!

Conferences are next Tuesday and Thursday 4:00 - 7:30. Your student's teacher will send a link for you to sign up for a day and time. We also have picture retakes on Thursday. Links to pre order are below.

PAX - Good Behavior Game PAX - Good Behavior Game

This month, our classes co-created a PAX Vision Board as part of the PAX Good Behavior Game. Together, students and teachers identified what they want to see more and less of, and what they should do more and less of to build a community focused on peace, productivity, health, and happiness.

By working together, we’re setting a shared vision for our classrooms—a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. And it's not only in the classroom! This will stretch into the cafeteria, specials and even in the hallways.

Ask your student about their classrooms vision!

Conference Meals

Parent-Teacher Conference Week:

Parent-Teacher Conferences are next week! It's Tuesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 16 (donated by El Potrero). To help teachers get through the long conference days, PTG pays for the 'core' of the meal, and we need parent/guardian donations to provide appetizers, fruit/veggies, desserts, and other items. We also need parents/guardians to help with setup and clean-up on both days. If you are interested in helping in any way, please click on this link to sign up and for more details.

From the Kramer Carnival Committee:

We wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who donated so much of your time and talents to help make Carnival an incredibly fun event that raised $10,482 for our Kramer kids!! We cannot say thank you enough. Carnival happened because of YOU! You have positively impacted so many children and families. Thank you, thank you!!

CARNIVAL SURVEY

Thank you so much to everyone who took part in Carnival! It was an amazing day and we want to continue making it better every year. To do so, we want to hear your thoughts about Carnival, even if you were unable to attend. Please take two minutes to fill out the Carnival Feedback Survey.

Read At Home

Attention Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade families: RAH begins on Wednesday September 24th. This will be our first reward day, so please return your RAH sheet by Wednesday!

Kramer RAH (Reading At Home) is a voluntary program from K-2nd graders that builds a home-school connection by rewarding students for reading at home. Each week students record the books they've read and turn-in record sheets for rewards. Rewards alternate between a student selected book and a small prize.

Health Education Curriculum Update - SB 288

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW), formally called the Ohio Department of Education, has shared with public schools across the state Senate Bill 288. This legislation requires that health education curricula be updated to include (K-12/developmentally appropriate) prevention education information in the areas of sexual abuse and sexual violence for students in public schools.

Instruction was provided this past week...

Lunch with the Counselor…

One of my goals this school year is to get better acquainted with each and every student at Kramer. I hope to achieve this by inviting small groups of students to have lunch with me each day. In the month of September, I plan to focus on having lunch with and getting to know our new kindergarten class!!

I also provide small groups in which students work with their peers to learn skills that are helpful both in and out of the classroom, as well as short term one on one support. Some of the small groups and one on one support focus on specific areas such as self regulation, coping skills, relationships, etc.

If you are interested in your student receiving any additional support, please complete and return the appropriate permission form.
