Weymouth Early Childhood Center

May 24, 2026

Good Morning,

In observance of Memorial Day on May 24th, there will be no school on Monday.

Week 2 of the Weymouth CFCE's Kick Off to Kindergarten event took place on Thursday. With more than 90 children in attendance, the evening was filled with excitement as our future kindergarteners learned what to expect as they begin their transition to kindergarten. For those families with children heading off to Kindergarten, we hope you join us on Wednesday, May 27 for Kindergarten Here I Come. This event will take place in the WECC parking lot from 5:00-6:30 p.m.

Butterfly Release Week:

A special thank you to the WECC Parent Council for generously providing each classroom with a cup of caterpillars for our Butterfly Release Week! Students were captivated as they learned and observed about the transformation from caterpillar to chrysalis and finally to butterfly, bringing the butterfly life cycle to life right in their classrooms. Throughout the week, classrooms celebrated the exciting moment of releasing their butterflies outdoors, creating meaningful learning experiences for our students. It was wonderful to see the excitement, curiosity, and wonder on the children’s faces as they watched their butterflies take flight!

2026-2027 Bus Transportation Information: WPS families were emailed the 2026-2027 bus application on May 11, 2026, and again on May 18, 2026. Please check your email for the link to the 2026-2027 bus application, which prepopulates your students' information.

Why did we send a direct link? We know that finding student data like Local ID numbers can be tricky. Your personalized link has all of this information automatically filled out; all you need to do is review and submit!
To ensure we receive accurate data and avoid duplicate entries, this unique link was emailed only to the Primary Contact we have on file for your student. If you have not seen the email, please have the primary account holder search their inbox (and spam folder!) If you need assistance with your contact information in Aspen, please contact your school office.

Have a great long weekend!
