Bus Passes Bus Passes

IMPORTANT Update: We understand that some students still need to pick up their bus passes. We will give them two more days and require bus passes beginning on Monday, October 26. We will keep you updated if this date changes!

How the Bus Pass System Works:

  • Daily Use: Students will scan their bus pass when boarding the bus in the morning and again when exiting at school. In the afternoon, students will scan their pass when boarding at school and again when exiting at their bus stop.
  • Forgotten or Lost Bus Passes: Students should notify their bus driver if they do not have their pass in the morning. Once at school, students should also notify the Welcome Center staff so they can contact Transportation to arrange a replacement pass for the afternoon.
  • Afternoon Transportation: Students must have a bus pass to ride the bus home. If a student forgets or loses their pass, Transportation will create a replacement pass and provide it to the afternoon bus driver to distribute to the student. Replacement passes will include the student's name and student ID number.
  • Tutoring Transportation: The same procedures will apply to students riding the after-school tutoring bus. Students will scan their passes when boarding and exiting the bus.
  • No bus riders will be denied transportation.

When Will This Begin?
Bus passes will be distributed as students return from fall break the week of October 12th-16th.
To allow time for all students to receive their passes, the bus pass requirement will begin being reinforced on October 21st.

We Need Your Help!
Families, please remind your students to keep their bus passes in a safe, accessible place and bring them to school every day. If a pass is lost or forgotten, students should communicate with their bus driver and school office right away so a replacement can be arranged before afternoon dismissal.

Tax Credit: Lower Taxes & Become a Partner in Education! Tax Credit: Lower Taxes & Become a Partner in Education!

You can send all of your state taxes to the State of Arizona or make a contribution to a public school and receive a state income tax credit of up to $200 for individual taxpayers or $400 for married couples filing jointly. Arizona Law (ARS 43-1089.01) gives you this opportunity when you contribute to extracurricular activities in public school. In addition to the tax credit for the State of Arizona, the contribution qualifies as a charitable contribution on your Federal tax return.

The tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax liability and is available to all taxpayers who reside in Arizona regardless of whether they have students in school or live in the school district. Corporations are not eligible.

Simply complete the form and return it by mail or bring it in person at the Canyon View Bookstore. You will be provided with a receipt verifying that you have contributed to an eligible program.

It is recommended you consult your tax advisor regarding your specific tax status.
