HRMS FAMILY QUESTION OF THE MONTH - As a school that receives Title I funding from the federal government, we are required to survey families regularly about what is working for them and how we can better support them. The feedback we collect throughout the year informs two guiding documents: the Family Engagement Plan and the Family-School Compact. We need your feedback. The easiest way to share it is by answering our Question of the Month. Click Here: February Question of The Month - What would help your child do better in school?
Box Tops for Education - Hello Families! Spring is just around the corner! We hope you are all staying safe and warm. Hidden River is committed to providing all of our students and teachers with everything they need to be successful. Box Tops is one way you can support the school without spending extra money. Simply scan your receipts and even if it doesn't have Box Tops products, you can enter the monthly sweepstakes for a chance to win funds for HRMS! See the flyer for more details.

Macalester Math Corps
Hello,
Math Corps at Macalester is now accepting applications for its free 2026 summer day camp for middle and high school students. In our unique model, middle school campers are supported by paid high school mentors in a 2:1 ratio, and both the middle and high school students are supported by college student instructors and Macalester faculty. Math Corps is open to middle school students currently in grades 7 or 8, with strong preference given to students enrolled in the Saint Paul Public Schools. We are happy to extend an invitation to your students to apply, and we ask for your help in informing student and their families of this special opportunity.
Founded in 1992 in Detroit, Math Corps is a nationally recognized mathematics enrichment and mentoring program that is now in nine cities. Year after year, results are dramatic – both mathematically and in terms of developing qualities in children that breed success. Math Corps received the NY Life Foundation’s Excellence in Summer Learning Award, placing it among the four most outstanding summer programs in the country.
Math Corps is for all students regardless of math proficiency or past performance. Students will take classes in foundational and advanced math topics, robotics, and other topics. Students receive daily breakfast and lunch at Math Corps, and families pay nothing to participate.
A PDF flyer is attached, and our website at https://mathcorps.org/locations/stpaul/ contains more information and a link to our online application. We encourage families to apply by March 01.
Sincerely,
Will Mitchell and Getiria Onsongo
