During @HomeLearning, LMS would like to send an ALL Call to create, draw, paint, sculpt, or collage. Please use this unique time to showcase your imagination and creativity. Share photos of your artwork on social media. Tag @lakesidelobos and use #loboscreate.

In addition, follow our talented LEISD artist on Instagram @LEISDARTS. Teachers will post student's artwork from all over the district for all to see.

Meal Service Changes Next Week

LEISD will continue to provide free curbside meals to our families; however, we have to do it in a way that reduces exposure and risk to the staff, parents, and students. Beginning Monday, April 6th, we will be distributing meals only one day a week on Mondays between 12-1:30 at the following locations:

  • Oak Point Elementary: 401 Shahan Prairie Road, Oak Point
  • Brent Elementary: 500 Witt Road, Little Elm
  • Chavez Elementary: 2600 Hart Road, Little Elm
  • Hackberry Elementary: 7200 Snug Harbor Circle, Frisco
  • Lakeside Middle School: 400 Lobo Lane, Little Elm
  • Hilltown Neighborhood at Post Oak and Cottonwood bus stop

Meal distribution will continue to be a “Grab and Go” set up. One person will exit the vehicle and grab one bag that holds five breakfasts and one bag that holds five lunches for the students who need meals. People who walk to a location should keep their distance from each other while grabbing their meals. Staff will be on-hand monitoring and will maintain a six-foot space between everyone who is present. Children no longer are required to be present to receive the meal, however, parents will need to bring one of the following documents to receive a meal:

  • Official Letter/email from school listing children enrolled
  • Individual student report cards
  • Attendance record from parent portal of school website
  • Birth certificate for children not in school
  • Student ID cards

The safety of our community is our number one priority. Based on the guidance from health experts, we feel this is a safer way to continue meal service to our families.

@HomeLearning Continues

LEISD will provide students with quality instructional resources throughout the duration of the district closure. These are instructional activities to keep students engaged and learning while social distancing.

  • Low Tech Option: LEISD is no longer offering paper packets of the learning materials. All at home learning will be completed online. Based on the feedback from paper packet distribution, the number of people we are bringing together and the potential risk that it poses. LEISD wants to do our part to minimize human contact as much as we can.

  • High Tech Option: Students will use their Chromebook devices to access all activities on LEISD's Instructional Resources Homepage and posted to the Learning Management System used by the teachers of their individual content (Canvas, Google Classroom, Active Classroom). Week one resources will remain available for another week.

EVERY SCHOOL DAY COUNTS!!!

Showing up to school everyday has a huge impact on student's academic success. Excused or unexcused absences impacts student's course grades, course credit, academic performance on state testing, and is a powerful predictor of student drop out. In addition, student who fall below the 90 percent attendance law are at danger of losing course credit or receiving a final grade. Please help us to improve student attendance and ensure every student is present everyday.
