Google Doodle
We are happy to announce that Doodle for Google is returning for its 17th year! Doodle for Google is an annual art contest open to U.S. students in grades K-12. Students are invited to create their own Google Doodle for the chance to have it featured on Google.com, as well as win a scholarship and a tech package for their school. This year's theme is 'My Superpower Is...' This year's contest invites students to look inward and consider unique strengths, qualities, or characteristics that make them powerful- and we don't mean fantastical things like flying or super strength. We are inviting students to envision the authentic traits that make them special. A "superpower" could be something small, like the ability to make someone laugh or being a good listener. We are excited to see the many ways that students uniquely contribute to their schools, families, or wider school communities.
From Mrs. Guerrero- Kohlberg Art Teacher:
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out, my email is baguerr2@episd.org or you can visit google4doodle.com or scan the qr code provided. I will leave extra forms in the office if you need an extra copy. The deadline is December 3rd. You may return the form to school so I can submit it via mail or online, or you may also submit it at home.
Teacher and Educational Support Employee of the Year

Attendance
Coyotes, attendance matters! Every day in school counts toward your child’s success. Let’s keep aiming high by showing up daily and on time. Right now, our campus attendance rate is 95.49%. Congratulations to 3rd grade for leading the way with the highest attendance! 🐾👏
CHANGES TO CELL PHONE USE UNDER NEW STATE LAW
Beginning August 4, 2025, students will not be permitted to use cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, AI glasses, or other digital communication devices on campus during school hours, from the first bell to the last. While students may bring their phones and digital devices to school, all devices must be turned off and stored in backpacks or designated areas within classrooms.
Reminders for dress code policy
Kohlberg Coyotes are not required to wear a uniform. However, here are a few reminders from our dress code policy:
1. shorts, skirts, and dresses must be appropriate length
2. no flip flops, slides, or crocs allowed
3. no caps, hats, or hoods may be worn inside the building
A complete listing of Kohlberg's dress code policy can be found in the student code of conduct found on our website.
