Bobcat Bulletin

Caragher's Corner
Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians,
As you all know, the past two weeks we have been playing the Bobcat RaoR (Random acts of Respect) game. The goal has been to encourage our students to preform acts of respect and perhaps even give them a few ideas about what that might look like in school. Over the two weeks, our school community has preformed 885 acts of respect...and that is only what we tracked through the RaoR game! Way to go Bobcats!
As we continue into the winter sports season, we wanted to communicate some reminders about expectations for attending basketball games.
- Other than our athletes who are participating in the events or students who are staying for afterschool activities, we do not have supervision available between the end of school and the beginning of games.
- Please use Pickup Patrol to change your student to a walker and attend a game. Include their destination between the end of school and the game (ie. Walking to a friends house and returning for basketball game).
- Students need to go to the game and cheer on their peers and not walk the hallways.
- While staff may attend games, these events have limited adult supervision. Students need to act in a respectful, responsible, and safe manner.
- Games end around 5:00, please pick up or make arrangements for your student's transportation from GBS to home.
- Students who leave school grounds and return are not able to take the late bus home.
Thank you for your support and partnering with us to provide the best possible experience for your students!
Happy Holidays!

Holiday Break! - School Resumes on 1/2/2024
Around the Bobcat World
Two groups of GBS Singers visited the AES yesterday to go caroling. The first group (5th and 6th graders) sang in the multipurpose room while the Elementary students had their feast. They stopped by the preschool room to spread some holiday cheer. The second group (7th and 8th graders) spent 20 minutes or so in the Muzart room and gave the students caroling books, GBS Bobcat crayon packs and candy canes.
Special thanks to Mrs. Moore for her help!
The 5th grade PAW store opened up amidst much anticipation and excitement! Students earn PAWs throughout the year from staff as they recognize their special efforts and actions that demonstate our core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety. Special thanks to our guests Dr. Forrest and her mother who helped with supplies and setup of the store.
Squatrito's Buritto's Advisory is one of the grade level advisory door decor winners! Congrats!
Consolidation/Reconfiguration
As many of you are aware, the School Board has contracted an organization related to the potential consolidation and reconfiguration of the ConVal School District. Here is the link to the School Board homepage that has more information to share.
