2025-2026 School Year
If your plans for next year change, be sure to contact the office. We do have quite a list of families who have applied for open enrollment for Panorama. If you no longer plan on attending or you had not planned on attending and plans changed, we would appreciate your notification.
Yearbook
All yearbooks, except for 6th grade, were passed out today. If your child did not receive one, and you feel this is an error, contact the office immediately. Beginning Wednesday morning at 7:30 AM, we will offer the few remaining yearbooks we have on hand for $50. Cash with exact change or a check is required. The yearbooks cannot be held through a phone call or message. They must be purchased in the office. They will be sold on a first come-first serve basis.
If all yearbooks are sold out in the office, you will be able to purchase them online to be shipped to your home. Visit the link here: https://link.entourageyearbooks.com/YBStore/YearbookStoreMain.asp?yearbook_id=88296&product_id=155870
This link is also good to purchase yearbooks from previous years.
Student Passwords
On August 1st, 2025, your student will be assigned a new password that does not contain any easy-to-guess information (such as student ID or birthday). When the new password is assigned in August, you will receive an email with the updated password. Teachers will also have access to this assigned password to assist your student at the start of the school year. If you or your student would like to change their password ahead of time to avoid a password being assigned to them, it can be changed anytime from the MyOUSD dashboard.
How to change the password:
- From any web browser, go to https://myousd.orangeusd.org.
- Look for the icon with the name Change My Password.
- Clicking on the icon will take you to a Microsoft security page where you can update your password.
Smarter Balanced and ELPAC Score Reports
This spring, students in grades three through six took the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for English language arts and math. Students in grade 5 also took the California Science Test. Students who are English Learners took the ELPAC. You can access your child's score report in the Aeries Parent Portal under "Test Scores" and then "State Electronic Score Reports." To learn more about your child’s scores, visit the Starting Smarter website at https://www.ca.startingsmarter.org/.

Attendance
If your child is absent, please call the office at 714-997-6265 or email Miss Cindi at cynthia.walsh@orangeusd.org to let us know why your child is not at school.
If you know your child will be absent in advance and you would like them to do work to receive credit for attendance, please contact the office as soon as possible. We can create an independent study contract for absences of any length, as long as the teacher has sufficient notice to prepare work. Three days used to be the minimum amount, but now we can do it for two days or more. By completing the work, your child will receive full credit on completed work during the time they are not at school, and their attendance will not be affected. If a child misses school due to a personal reason, this becomes a truancy; however, if your child completes their independent study contract it does not count as an absence.

Lost and Found
Nutrition Services
All students need to be sure they let their teacher know the day before they buy lunch. We may not have enough lunches if they do not request one. Also, please remind your child that they should not be getting lunch if they bring one. On Wednesdays, due to the modified schedule, lunch is not served. Instead, we serve brunch at recess. Please remind your child to let their teacher know on Tuesday that they will be buying brunch on Wednesday. You can find the lunch menu here: https://www.schoolnutritionandfitness.com/index.php?sid=2501081743337031&page=menus
USagain Clothing Drop Fundraiser and Tree Machine
Don't forget to place your donations in our usagain container. We receive a small amount of funds each time we fill the collection bin in our parking lot. Please deposit any unwanted clothing items in our bin. You can see the items accepted in the image below.
Panorama recycled 9,126 pounds of clothes which led to 23 trees being planted! Keep up the recycling to raise money for our school and to help the environment.
Birthday Marquee
Would you like to celebrate your child's birthday by surprising them with their name on the marquee? If so, complete the form and return it with your donation to the office.
Bell Schedule
Reminder: The first day of school is a modified Wednesday. Please be sure to review the bell schedule.
