What a beautiful evening celebrating Bayport Elementary! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Community Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. We enjoyed honoring the rich history of the original Bayport Elementary while celebrating the gift of our new school! It was wonderful to have our families, community and educators represented by the Schmidts, Johnsons and Ms. Scamehorn. Our river theme reminds us that we are connected to our past while flowing forward together toward new possibilities. We are so grateful to our incredible community for making this special new chapter possible!

Our school was designed to be a welcoming, flexible place for students to learn — with safety and security built into the design.

Bayport has a secure entrance and multiple areas that can be quickly locked and separated from other parts of the building. Each grade level has its own learning pod that can be secured from the rest of the school. Learning bays also have exits to the outside, giving students and staff options in an emergency.

The learning bay design supports everyday safety, too. Classrooms, small-group spaces and other learning areas are located together within each bay. Students can access most of what they need without moving throughout the building. This means fewer transitions and less hallway traffic.

Even the glass walls serve an important purpose. They provide better visibility and help staff supervise students throughout learning spaces and common areas. This helps prevent and address everyday safety concerns, including bullying and negative student behavior.

It’s all part of a thoughtful design that brings together safety, security and great spaces for learning.

Our new outdoor classroom is a great space for preschoolers to explore apple science!

Mark your calendar for this FREE, family-friendly event on Friday, Sept. 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Stillwater Area High School. All ages are invited to join us for traditional carnival games and activities, prizes, inflatables, and food trucks just before the football game. Volunteers are needed to help out with games. Sign up online.

Back-to-School Night

Come join us for some fun at Bayport Elementary School playground with activities, food, and sweet treats! No drop offs - kids must be with an adult.

Stop by the BEPG table to join and learn more about our plans for 2026-2027 school year!

Our first BEPG meeting of the school year will be Thursday, September 17, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. in the Media Center!

Come stop by, meet other BEPG members, and learn more about the events, activities, and plans we have in store for this school year.

We’ll also be joined by Principal Anna Wilcek, who will share what’s happening at school and give us a look at what families can expect over the next month or two.

Everyone is welcome! We’d love to have you join us.
