Hello Hunter Families,

Thank you for helping to make the first day a success!

We learned a few things yesterday that will help continue to improve our new processes.

Dismissal went as we expected it to. A safe environment was created but it was slow. We knew this would happen. We are going to try forming two lanes when cars reach the front of the building. We will have staff stationed to direct traffic. This will allow us to load approximately 6 more cars at a time. We will load both rows of cars, allow them to drive away and then direct more cars to pull up.

We will continue to work on this and continue our transparency with you about it. A key factor in the speed of our process is that everyone comes at their dismissal time and not before.

Dismissal Times (by grade level) for FULL DAYS:

Young 5's: 3:15 pm

Kindergarten: 3:25 pm

First Grade: 3:35 pm

Second Grade: 3:40 pm

Third Grade: 3:45 pm

Fourth: 3:48 pm

Fifth: 3:48 pm

Dimissal Times (by grade level) for HALF-DAYS:

Young 5's: 11:25 am

Kindergarten: 11:35 am

First Grade: 11:45 am

Second Grade: 11:50 am

Third Grade: 11:55 am

Fourth Grade: 12:00 pm

Fifth Grade: 12:00 pm

A federal waiver has been approved to allow for ALL students to recieve FREE breakfast and lunch every day at school through December 31st, 2020. This means we are not collecting any money from any student. There is NO PAPERWORK that needs to be completed to qualify for free lunch and/or breakfast.

Our breakfast and lunch is kid friendly. If you think your student would order a breakfast/lunch and you do NOT want them to, PLEASE work with you classroom teacher.

Our September menu is attached below.

Yearbooks from last school year (2019-2020) will go home with students on Thursday September 10th. We do not have extra yearbooks for student who did not originally order them. If a student has moved on to Shumate, their yearbook will be delivered at Shumate. If a student is at Lakeshore Virtual School for the first semester, please call our main office at 734-679-6390 and we will schedule a time for you to pick your yearbook up.
