Team,

We have less than 10 days of instruction left before our first Ohio State Test — ELA Part 1 on April 14. With Spring Break now behind us, it’s important that we pick the momentum back up and make the most of the time we have. The break gave everyone a well-deserved rest, but now let’s ensure we maintain our focus right up until the final bell.

The best preparation happens when students are doing the heavy lifting, and I’m proud to say I’ve seen this happening in classrooms. In many classrooms, students are engaged in thoughtful writing and discussion activities, demonstrating their understanding through rich conversations. In others, students are using whiteboards, actively collaborating, discussing, and showcasing what they know. Across all grade levels, teachers are emphasizing writing and exposing students to OST practice questions and the writing rubric. This type of preparation is key to building students’ confidence and skills.

As we head into this final stretch, let’s keep reinforcing the importance of these assessments with students and families. Every lesson, activity, and conversation can help our students feel prepared and motivated to do their best.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Let’s finish strong; we’ve got this!

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable Spring Break. Thank you for all you do every day to support our students and school community, it truly shows in the growth we’ve been seeing in behavior and school culture. Before the break, students were really demonstrating the Noble Big 4 throughout the building, and it’s exciting to continue building on that momentum.

To celebrate their efforts, we’ve started recognizing classes with Golden Tickets when students are caught showing positive behavior in hallways, at recess, during dismissal, and across the school. Once a class earns 12 Golden Tickets, they’ll get a small celebration to recognize their teamwork and commitment to a positive environment.

I also want to thank everyone who connected with families during conferences. Those conversations are so valuable in helping us partner with families and support student success as we finish the year strong.

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you and our students back in action, let’s make the rest of the year great together!
