Congratulations to our Saints on completing TerraNova Testing Week! We are so proud of our students for their hard work, focus, and perseverance throughout testing.
After a busy week of putting their knowledge to the test, our students enjoyed some well-deserved fun in the sun with outdoor activities! It was the perfect way to celebrate a job well done!
A special thank you to our teachers and staff for supporting and encouraging our students throughout the week. Great job, Saints! 💙💛
In commemoration of the 800th Anniversary of the Death of Saint Francis of Assisi, Pope Leo XIV has proclaimed a special Year of Saint Francis, celebrated from January 10, 2026 through January 10, 2027. This special Jubilee Year invites the faithful to follow the example of Saint Francis by growing closer to Christ and becoming witnesses of peace, charity, humility, and love. During this Jubilee Year, the faithful have the opportunity to receive a Plenary Indulgence.
Primary Requirements for the Plenary Indulgence
The faithful may participate by making a Franciscan pilgrimage by visiting St. Francis of Assisi Church. Participat in prayer or reflection and pray for charity, harmony, and peace among peoples. Prayer should include the Our Father, Creed, and Pray for the Pope's Intentions .
Spiritual Requirements
The usual conditions for receiving the Plenary Indulgence also apply: Sacramental Confession, reception of the Holy Eucharist, prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father, and detachment from sin. The indulgence may also be offered for the souls in Purgatory.
Provisions for the Homebound
The elderly, sick, caregivers, and those unable to leave their homes for a serious reason may also receive the Plenary Indulgence by spiritually uniting themselves with the Jubilee celebrations and offering their prayers, sufferings, and daily difficulties to God, with the intention of fulfilling the usual conditions as soon as possible.
The Proclamation of the Year of Saint Francis
The Church encourages us to use this special year as an opportunity for conversion, spiritual renewal, and living the Gospel more fully. May the example of Saint Francis inspire our families to grow in faith, serve others with joy, and become instruments of Christ’s peace in our world.

Here are few ways to nurture faith-filled curiosity at home:
Encourage Questions: Create a safe, open space for your child’s big questions about God and the world.
Reflect as a Family: Ask open-ended questions like, "What surprised you today?" or "Where did you see God?"
Celebrate Discoveries: Validate your child's insights to keep them excited about their spiritual journey.

Vision screenings will take place at school on Monday, September 28. These screenings help identify potential vision concerns that may impact a student’s learning and success in the classroom. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they have them this day. Thank you! 👀
Is your child in need of the Sacrament of Baptism or First Holy Communion? St. Francis of Assisi’s Faith Formation Office is here to help families begin the preparation process. Please see the attached letter for important information about Baptism preparation for children of all ages and how to get started on this special journey of faith.
