A Message from Mr. Anderson
Dear EXPO Elementary Families,
At EXPO Elementary, our second major goal focuses on transforming how our students experience and engage with mathematics. As we move from where we are to where we want to be, our focus is shifting from simple repetition to building deep mathematical thinking, robust problem solving, and finding a genuine joy in patterns. To achieve this, our classrooms actively utilize our district-adopted HMH Into Math curriculum, which is specifically designed to spark curiosity, build productive perseverance, and inspire students to see themselves as true mathematicians. Moving from where we are to where we want to be takes a community, and I am incredibly grateful for your continued support at home. By encouraging your children to talk about how they solve problems and by celebrating their persistence when a math challenge gets tough, you are partnering with us to guide our students beyond just finding quick answers and helping them discover the beautiful logic that connects math to their daily lives
Warmly,
Craig Anderson Principal

Help Tell EXPO’s Story. Be A Yearbook Volunteer!
Do you love taking photos? Want to pick pictures for a page? Have an eye for details? There are several ways to volunteer for the yearbook!

Assistant editors: Help collect and organize photos. Lay out a few pages.
Sales assistants: Help promote yearbook sales and distribute yearbooks. Most of this work occurs in April/May.

Heart Rate Racers: Find your pulse while sitting quietly and count your heartbeats for 15 seconds. Then, do jumping jacks for one minute, count your pulse again, and have older kids multiply both numbers by 4 to figure out their resting and active heart rates per minute!
