Wildwood Weekly News

This week has been a wet one! However, that did not stop our 5/6 class from attending pond days in their rubber boots. Students got to complete activities and view demonstrations from a number of presenters. We are very thankful for our students to have this opportunity.

The water also did not stop us from our Track and Field day either. We bussed over Evansview who put on a fantastic day of activities, lunch and fun. The rain interrupted but did not stop the fun. Thank you to the staff of Evansview school, transportation and all the families that came to watch.

Next week we have our year end parent council meeting. As well as several PATs for our grade 6 students.

Bus Registration

For all new students who enroll between March 16, 2026, and June 26, 2026, and who require bus transportation for the 26-27 school year, parents must submit a School Bus Registration on the GYPSD website (School Bus Registration tab) by June 30, 2026.

This deadline also applies to returning students who require bus transportation for the 2026-27 school year. A snapcode is not required to complete the School Bus Registration.

Community Contribution

As you all know this will be the last year of Wildwood School. As part of that I have been sharing bits of our schools history. If you have bits of history or artifacts that you would like to share please email or call Mr. Stoyles so we can share parts of the school's past as we get ready for a new future in September.

As always feel free to reach out regarding any questions or concerns by calling the school at 780-325-3858 or emailing me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca.

Sincerely,

Alan Stoyles
