2026-2027 SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Your teachers are excited to offer the opportunity to purchase your school supplies through School Start for the 2026-2027 school year. This process will save you both time and money.
Below are specific grade level supply lists.
The lists have a Starter Package (base package) as well as Additional Items Required. The additional items are required by each teacher; they include items such as pencil cases, sharpeners, and calculators. These products do not need to be purchased on a year-to-year basis if you already have them.
There are three ways to place your order:
You can place your order online at https://schoolstart.ca/
You can place your order over the phone 1-800-580-1868
You can print and fill out the supply list and return via email to info@schoolstart.ca
The supplies will be packaged and delivered directly to your home (or to your school before school starts) if this is your school's preference.
If you have any questions, please contact School Start’s Customer Service Department:
Email: info@schoolstart.ca | Phone: 1-800-580-1868
Below are the 2026-2027 Supply Lists by Grade
Transportation Registration & Information 2026–27
Transportation Changes
Please note there is a distance eligibility change for the 2026–27 school year. Students living between 1.0 km and 1.59 km from their school will no longer be eligible for transportation. We recognize this change may impact some families; additional details are outlined in the attached letter, and we encourage families to review this information carefully.
For students who will be attending a different school next year, please support families in checking their eligibility, as transportation services may be available to their new school even if they are not currently eligible.
If families have questions about eligibility or registration, please direct them to the Transportation department.

A huge thank you to Parent Council and all the helpers who brought in and helped serve lunch during our "Track and Field Day" on June 23rd. The teachers, staff, and students all appreciate everything you do for the school to help make everyone's day a little easier.

BRRJHAA Regional Golf Tournament
Round Hill School was proud to send four athletes—Lena Bowal, Kane Duheme, Quinn MacNeil, and Anthony MacNeil, to represent our school at the Battle River Regional Junior High Athletic Association Regional Golf Tournament held at Silver Creek Golf Course in New Norway on June 8. The students competed with determination, demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, and gained valuable experience playing against some of the region's top junior high golfers. Throughout the day, they represented Round Hill School with pride, respect, and positive attitudes, making our school community proud both on and off the course.
Round Hill Community Hall Lunch Program
Our Round Hill Community Hall Lunch Program was a tremendous success this year. Over the course of six meals, we welcomed nearly 200 guests at each event, bringing together students, families, and community members to share great food and meaningful connections.
These meals would not have been possible without the generous support of our dedicated volunteers: Debbie and John Blouin, Jean Teeple, Ryan Bergman, and Diane Campbell. Their countless hours of planning, preparation, and skill teaching helped make each event a success.
We are also incredibly grateful to Nahirniak Farms and Irving Farm Fresh for donating much of the delicious meat featured in our meals this year. We encourage everyone to keep these outstanding local businesses in mind and continue supporting our local farmers.
In addition, we would like to thank everyone who contributed financially to the program. From spare change collected at the door to generous donations from the Round Hill Elks, Round Hill Agricultural Society, Farm to Cafeteria Canada, and the Battle River Community Foundation; every contribution helped cover ingredient costs and ensure the program could continue to thrive.
These meals showcase the very best of our community. They provide opportunities for students to learn valuable skills, strengthen relationships between generations, and bring people together around a shared table. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and supported the program throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming you back next year!

STUDENT LOUNGE
We are creating a Junior High Student Wellness Lounge at Round Hill School, a welcoming, supervised space where students can connect with peers, relax, and take short restorative breaks during the school day. The lounge will support student mental health and social-emotional development by providing comfortable seating, collaborative games such as air hockey, ping pong or foosball, board games for small groups, and music during designated times. These activities help students build positive relationships, practice communication and teamwork, and develop healthy ways to manage stress.
To help bring this space to life, we are inviting community members to support the project through donations of items such as couches or comfortable seating, board games, recreational tables, or other lounge-style furnishings that can help create a safe and welcoming environment for our junior high students. Please contact Ms. Taren Lindstrand at tlindstrand@brsd.ab.ca if you have an item you would like to donate. Sending her a message, with a picture of the item would be most helpful!
COMBINED CLASSES INFORMATION
The BRSD Education Department has developed new resources to answer questions regarding combined classes. At Round Hill School we have had combined classes for many years but with the reduction in funding across the Division this year, the number of combined classes may increase. Here is a link for Parent/Guardian FAQs about combined classes. If you want to read the information in paper format, we have a number of brochures at the office.
