Shining Brighter, Growing Stronger!
Dear Main Street Families,
Thank you for a wonderful week at Main Street! Thank you to all of the families who joined us this week for report card conferences, the PTO meeting, and our Honor Roll/Perfect Attendance assemblies. We appreciate your continued partnership and support of our school community.
PSSA testing for students in grades 3–5 will begin next week. We encourage all students to do their best and come to school ready to succeed each day. You can help your child prepare by making sure they get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast each morning, and arrive at school on time. Attendance is especially important during testing, and we are excited to offer special attendance incentives throughout the week. Please see the attached flyer for more details.
📊 Attendance Matters – Let’s Finish Strong!
This week, our schoolwide attendance decreased to 61%, which is below where we want to be. Daily attendance is critical to your child’s academic success—every day of learning truly matters, especially as we approach the end of the school year and prepare for important assessments like the PSSA.
Our goal is to reach 90% Average Daily Attendance (ADA), and we need your partnership to get there. Please make every effort to ensure your child is at school on time, every day, unless they are sick.
Let’s work together to build strong habits and finish the school year strong!

Ms. Wright's Pre-K Classroom Spotlight: Recycling Creations in Action!
Students participated in a hands-on recycling project designed to promote environmental awareness and creativity through the reuse of everyday materials. Prior to beginning their projects, the class engaged in a teacher-led discussion about the importance of recycling, reducing waste, and reusing items to help protect our environment. Key concepts such as conservation, sustainability, and responsible resource use were introduced in an age-appropriate manner.
Students were encouraged to collect recyclable materials from home and collaborate with family members, when appropriate, to create a unique project. Materials used included items such as cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, paper towel rolls, containers, and other reusable household items.
Caterpillars have arrived in Ms. Russo's Pre-K Class!
