Principal's November Newsletter

Red Ribbon Week was a great success! We had so much fun dressing up and giving out prizes.

Our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive will be November 1-16. If you are able to send cans and non-perishable food items for our drive you may send them with your child to turn in to his/her teacher. This is a class competition! First Place will have a cookie decorating party with our counselor, Ms. Farriell. Second and Third Place will receive a class donut party. Our school goal is to raise 2500 food items. All food items go back into our Shawnee community.

November 1-16- Sequoyah Thanksgiving Food Drive

November 9- Thanksgiving meal ($5 for those joining us- exact change please); Snow Cones during recess for $2 (parents may join in after lunch); Veterans Day Family Music Performance 6pm (3rd grade)

Lunch Times:

K- 11:15-11:35

1st- 11:30-11:50

2nd-11:40-12:00

3rd- 11:50-12:10

4th- 12:00-12:20

5th- 12:10-12:30

November 10- Veteran’s Day Music Program (3rd grade) at 9:45

November 13- Picture Re-Takes at 8:30 (forms in the office)

November 14th- 2nd & 3rd grade to Philharmonic for school field trip

November 16- PTA Meeting at 5:00 in the library; Gratitude family performance at 6pm (4th)

November 17- 9:00 Gratitude program (4th); Downtown Tree Lighting - Honor Choir performing at 6:30

November 20-24- Thanksgiving Break

November 29- Native American Dance Troupe at 9:00

November 30- Reading Night 5:30-6:30- “Let’s Glow Read” (more info coming)
